Dr. Ameet Singh is a Board
Certified Otolaryngologist – Head & Neck Surgeon (ENT) with an expertise in
nasal & sinus problems, as well as minimally invasive surgery to remove
brain tumors through the nose serving the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia community.
Undergraduate & Graduate Education: Dr.
Singh earned his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, with a minor in History from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. He subsequently received his medical degree from Cornell University
Medical College
in New York, NY. At Cornell University
Medical College,
he served as the Class President for 4 years and was awarded the prestigious Ben H. Kean International Fellowship,
and the Charles Horn Prize for service to the medical community.
Post-Graduate Training: Dr. Singh began a General
Surgery internship in 2002 followed by residency training in
Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Strong
Memorial Hospital,
University of Rochester
in Rochester, NY. In 2007, he began a fellowship in Rhinology
& Endoscopic Skull-Base Surgery with Dr. Vijay Anand, a renowned rhinologist and endoscopic skull-base surgeon at New-York
Presbyterian Hospital,
Cornell University in New York, NY.
Clinical Interests: Dr. Singh’s research
interests include new treatments for chronic sinusitis, and minimally invasive
surgery for nasal & sinus tumors and brain tumors. He has published several peer reviewed articles and authored several book chapters in endoscopic skull base surgery. He has also delivered several lectures on endoscopic sinus and skull-base surgery at national and international forums, and trained physicians in advanced endoscopic sinus and skull-base surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery and American Rhinologic Society.
